EXPANDING SEL OPPORTUNITIES
Continue the learning journey with the following extension activity:
In VISUALIZING ALLERGIES, have students use what they learned from the article (as well as the template provided in the skills sheet) to create a comic strip about seasonal allergies. In their comics, they should visually represent one of the sections from the article. For example, they might show characters suffering from seasonal allergies and then using advice from the article to diagnose their allergies and/or help themselves feel better. Another option could be to create a visual representation of what happens in the body when allergic reactions occur. Encourage them to make their comic strip as creative, educational, and entertaining as possible.
